Homeschool Services
We believe that parents have the right to control their child's education. And we want to help!
GCES is able to provide support to families who have chosen to homeschool, but may need addtional resources, assistance, community, or just encouragment.

Homeschool Community Day
GCES has joined with Campground Baptist Church to offer an opportunity to gather with like-minded families once a week and allow our children to learn and grown together spiritually and academically.
**Parents must be present while their children are in attendance.
Community Day consists of:
8:00-11:15 Curriculum-based instruction (Optional-see details below)
11:15-12:15 Lunch/Social time
12:15-2:00 Community classes

Community classes include: Current Events, Bible Study, Logic/Critical Thinking, Home Economics, and STEAM activities, and more!

Many homeschool families want to benefits of home instruction, but struggle with curriculum selection, lesson planning, and the desire for more social interaction.
Beginning the 2024-2025 school year, Community Day will include curriculum-based instruction in the following areas:
Literature
Language
History
Science
Math (for elementary only)
Families are invited to participate in group instruction for any or all subject areas. Lesson plans can be provided to families to continue with instruction throughout the week in order for students to engage in the continuation of the class. Parents are responsible for continued instruction, assignment completion, any desired grades, and obtaining needed class or home materials. GCES will provide direct instruction on community day, lesson plans and tests with answer keys. Parents will maintain full control over their child's progress. We are simply offering a resource that can be used within the scope of your homeschooling choices.
Yearly Fees (per student)
Morning sessions 8:00-11:15 (curriculum-based instruction):
Elementary $95
Middle $95
Highschool $100
Lunch/Social-time 11:15-12:15 (Must bring sack lunch from home)
Afternoon sessions 12:15-2:00
All grade levels $40
