Gulf Coast Education Solutions Academy (Micro-school)
GCES Academy is a micro-school established to provide our learners with an alternative to traditional education. With our faith-based curriculum, specialized interventions, and individualized instruction, we are able to offer education solutions in an environment that nurtures individuality, builds on personal strengths, and prepares our students to be their best self.
This micro-school is a one-room schoolhouse that provides for multiple ages and multiple ability levels, while catering to the individual needs of each student.
Differientiated Curriculum
Curriculum is selected each year to meet the needs of our students. We offer instruction in all core subject areas via small group, one-on-one, and online.
Small group instruction
Classes are divided into small groups to address social and academic levels for each subject area.
One-on-one
Some students require one-on-one for instuction, intervention, and remediation. Our staff work together to help ensure that no student is left behind.
Field Trips
Our goal is provide multiple opportunities throughout the year for students to experience the community and learn outside the classroom.
Hands-On Learning
Research has found that integrating multiple senses in learning experiences provides learners with more ways to make connections and results in better learning outcomes.
Creativity
We encourage students to "think outside the box".

Life Skills
Students learn and practice practical life skills such as finance, cooking, and self-help.
Biblical Principles
Our priority is to put Christ in the center of everything and to instill Biblical principles in all aspects of life.
Community Day
GCES Academy participates in a Community Day held at Campground Baptist Church to build and foster social relationships and support the homeschool community.

We take our commitment to your child very seriously, and we want to ensure we are able to adequately provide for their needs. Instructional Staff
GCES Academy micro-school consists of certified teachers, dyslexia therapists, and special education specialists.
The micro-school also collaborates with GCES's licensed therapists in the areas of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational therapy, and Speech-Language Therapy to insure that we take every opportunity to meet the individual needs of each student.
Schedule
Our micro-school schedule includes core academics, field trips, qualifying therapies, and other special servcies as needed.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday is regular sessions at GCES Academy
8:00am-12:00pm...Curriculum-based instruction
Tuesday is Community Day at Campground Baptist Church
8:00-11:15am...Curriculum-based instruction
11:15-12:15 Lunch/Social Time
12:15-2:00...Community Classes
